Multiplex Immunoassay Biochip

Biochip Array Technology is a novel proprietary technology from Randox Biosciences. Biochip Array Technology (BAT) is an exquisite precision in multiplex testing platform allowing the simultaneous quantitative or qualitative detection of a wide range of analytes from a single sample. It provides a unique platform for the assessment of biological samples in a rapid, accurate and easy to use format.

Biochip Array Technology and the Evidence series of analysers enable optimum laboratory efficiency, complete patient profile along with cost saving opportunities.

BAT uniquely offers immunoassay diagnostic testing for simultaneous multi-analyte Biomarker detection. After addition of a single patient sample to the biochip, analytes present in the sample bind to the specific Biochip bound ligands. The degree of binding is determined using a chemiluminescent light source and quantified using a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera and imaging system.

Each biochip has 25 Discrete Test Regions (DTR’s) which each detect a different Biomarker. This means that 22 tests can be carried out simultaneously with two additional DTR’s reserved for internal quality control, a unique Biochip Array Technology feature.

Randox Biosciences offer four biochip analysers, the Evidence, Evidence Investigator, Evidence MultiStat and the Evidence Evolution.

Key Features & Benefits
  • Highly accurate testing with a proven high standard of accurate test results with CV’s <10%
  • Testing for multiple markers allows for more informed patient diagnosis
  • Multi-analyte reagents and quality control material, provides highly efficient testing while eliminating any wastage
  • Reduced sample volume requirements puts the patient at ease
  • Patient profiling saves precious sample if further analysis is required
  • Cost consolidation as multiplex testing reduces the amount of time spent on individual tests and associated laboratory costs
